March 11, 2025York, UK – Azotic Technologies Limited (Azotic®) is excited about the commercial launch of its latest formulation of Envita®, its flagship nitrogen fixing product. This newest product release – Envita WG – is a wettable granule that is available for the 2025 growing season. This is the third innovation in formulation in 3 years, highlighting the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.
This innovation provides tangible benefits to the channel in the form of shipping and logistics, such as a smaller storage footprint, extended shelf life and, ultimately, much-improved ease of use by farmers. The new formulation is 5 times smaller and 19 times lighter than the original product launched in 2018.
“Our research and development team has tirelessly pursued formulation improvements to make life easier for a growing number of farmers globally,” said Robin Mitra, CTO of Azotic. “This innovative spirit underpins our core strategy – providing advanced technological products to help create a more sustainable future for farming.”
In keeping with its objective of helping farmers do more with less, Azotic released Envita SC in 2024, which gives organic farmers a product that fits with their fertility program. Having both organic and wettable granular formulations as part of its product offering positions Azotic for accelerated growth in many geographies.
The active ingredient in Envita is Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus (Gd), which has a unique mode of action allowing the fixation of atmospheric nitrogen from inside plant cells, exactly when and where it is needed for growth. Gd is a naturally occurring, food-grade bacteria which is suitable for many applications including horticultural crops for human consumption.
In the field, its flexible application methods, including in-furrow or foliar, and industry-leading versatility for foliar (early post-emergence herbicides to early reproductive fungicides) give farmers options to incorporate efficiently in their calendar on the crop they choose.
John Squire, Lead agronomist for Azotic in North America confirms, “The feedback we got from the 2024 demonstration trials illustrates efficacy on many crops. Observed benefits range from increased yield to quality and nitrogen supplementation. Ease of handling and use was certainly a benefit when mixing Envita for application.
“Whether the objective is to reduce fertilizer and maintain yield or maintain fertilizer and increase yield, Envita is compatible with industry-standard tank mixes and is backed by a best-in-class performance guarantee.’’
