Now in its second year of commercial production and following a successful 2019 grower field-scale trial program, growers throughout the US can now apply Envita as a foliar application. Envita is the only N-fixing bacteria that works from within the plant cell to fix N all season long when and where the plant needs it most.
Growers in the 2019 foliar trial experienced significant yield increase despite tough growing conditions throughout the corn belt with yield increases averaging 6 bu/ac.
“We participated in the Envita Foliar trial in 2019 because I really wanted to push the envelope on yield,” says Joel Lipp who farms in Laurel, Nebraska. “At harvest we were running two machines. I was sitting in one, and I’ve never seen my yield monitor go that high. The Envita gave us a 15 bu/ac increase.”
“We tried Envita on corn as part of the foliar trial last year,” says Dane Whitley, Grower, Ness City Kansas. “We really thought we’d see no difference because we had 120 lbs of actual N applied, and very low yields with almost no rain. When we were harvesting we noticed the plants looked healthier in part of the field and had an impressive yield increase despite really terrible conditions.”
