February 1, 2019Azotic North America’s Envita Nitrogen-Fixing Technology now Commercially Available
For Immediate Release
Raleigh, North Carolina – November 27th, 2018 – Today, Azotic North America announced Envita™, its revolutionary nitrogen-fixing technology, is now commercially available to growers in most US states, including California. Farm scale trials across 11 states in 2018 have recently concluded and validated the previous 6 years of research with encouraging results and feedback from growers. Envita answers the long-standing need of the farmer community for nitrogen-fixing technology for corn and other non-legume crops.
“Envita increases yields on average 5-13% and in some cases up to 20% in trials where nitrogen fertilizer levels have not been reduced,” explains Nolan Berg, President at Azotic North America. “The magnitude of this impact comes from its mode of action. Unlike other N-fixing technologies, Envita gets inside every cell of the plant and fixes nitrogen, all season long, every day. It’s these results we’re excited to share with as many growers as possible in 2019.”
Growers are encouraged register to secure supply availability at $9.75 per acre in 2019
Due to limited quantities, growers are encouraged to register to secure availability of Envita for Spring 2019. Azotic opened up early registration to growers who participated in the 2018 farm trial program and have now opened registration to farmers across registered US States. Growers will be contacted in the order they register.
Envita is now registered in over 26 states, including California, Florida and the Mid-West. New states are being added. Check the site often.
About Envita
Envita is a naturally-occurring, food grade microbe that provides plants with the ability to fix their own nitrogen from the air replacing up to 50% of their nitrogen needs. When applied in furrow or on seed, Envita grows with the plant, metabolizing nitrogen from the atmosphere (which is 78% nitrogen). Growers can choose to use Envita with their regular fertility program for a yield boost or deliver same yields using less nitrogen.
“Row crop farmers are quite familiar with the natural nitrogen fixing abilities of crops like soybeans. Now imagine that crops like corn can also fix nitrogen on their own and not just in the roots – throughout the entire plant, all season long. It’s like turning crops into nitrogen-fixing machines,” says Erika Wagner, Chief Agronomist North America, Azotic. “Whether farmers are looking to boost their yields, reduce their nitrogen, or both, Envita provides options.”
About Azotic North America
Azotic North America was established to introduce this natural nitrogen-fixing technology to farmers in North America. Azotic Technologies was formed in 2012 to commercialize more than 20 years of academic research in sustainable nitrogen and to offer farmers across the globe practical, sustainable solutions to increase crop performance by producing more with less.
